The SEC has transferred its chief lawyer for cryptocurrency litigation to the IT department
ChainCatcher news, according to The Wall Street Journal, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has reassigned its chief litigation counsel Jorge Tenreiro to the IT department responsible for maintaining the agency's computer systems. Tenreiro previously led six significant lawsuits against multiple cryptocurrency exchanges.
At the same time, the SEC also adjusted the position of a lawyer involved in developing accounting guidelines for cryptocurrency custody. These guidelines had previously posed obstacles for banks providing cryptocurrency custody services to clients.
