ChainCatcher news, White House "crypto czar" David Sacks stated in an interview with CNBC that Bitcoin is an "excellent store of value," and revealed that assessing Bitcoin reserves is one of the priorities for an internal government working group. Sacks emphasized that Bitcoin, as the earliest and strongest digital currency, has never been hacked.

Sacks also mentioned that after visiting leaders of the Congressional Banking and Financial Services Committee, he expects to push for legislation on cryptocurrencies within the next six months to provide a clearer regulatory framework. Additionally, the U.S. SEC is also adjusting its approach to cryptocurrency regulation, reducing the enforcement division specifically targeting cryptocurrencies and reallocating related legal resources.

Regarding stablecoins, Sacks stated that the government aims to promote their issuance domestically to enhance the international dominance of the U.S. dollar and create new demand for U.S. Treasury bonds.
