Coinbase obtains cryptocurrency license in the UK and can now offer cryptocurrency services to UK customers
ChainCatcher news, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has obtained cryptocurrency registration approval from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), allowing it to offer cryptocurrency services in the UK for the first time.
A Coinbase spokesperson stated, "Our new UK VASP registration means that CBPL can not only continue to provide fiat services to our customers but can now also offer crypto services."
It is reported that only 14% of applicants successfully obtain FCA licenses, and Coinbase took 6 months to complete the approval process.
