ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoin.com, a man in South Africa has been arrested for allegedly sending approximately $600 worth of Bitcoin (BTC) to an Islamic State (IS) affiliated group in Syria. Currently, the man will be released after the court approved his bail application. The Lichtenburg Magistrate's Court ruled that the prosecution failed to prove that the suspect, Ziyadh Hoorzook, posed a flight risk, and set the bail amount at 30,000 rand (approximately $1,616).

Hoorzook denies the allegations, stating that he was unaware of the connection between the Syrian charity and the terrorist organization when he made the donation in 2017. He was only arrested earlier this year.
