Japan's C2C second-hand trading platform Mercari has partnered with OpenSea to launch an NFT marketplace

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Japan's C2C second-hand trading platform Mercari has announced the launch of its NFT marketplace "Mercari NFT".

Mercari NFT will collaborate with the major overseas NFT trading market OpenSea to support the trading of NFT projects on the platform. Users can conduct transactions using Mercari's existing payment system without the need to open a cryptocurrency wallet or trading account.

Available payment methods include Merpay balance, Merpay Smart Pay, and Mercard, while Bitcoin processed by the subsidiary Mercoin is not supported as a payment method. There are no fees for purchasing or listing NFTs, with a 10% fee charged only upon the sale of the item.

The platform supports products including the Azuki sub-series BEANZ Official and "MEGAMI" created by Japanese illustrator Naoki Saito.
