ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoin.com News, the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) has issued a notice indicating that it is actively monitoring World (formerly Worldcoin) activities in Brazil. Given the risks associated with processing biometric data, the agency has requested information about the tasks performed by the company and has launched an investigation into the company's internal operations and the handling of personal biometric data. World began operations in Brazil last November and claims that over 150,000 people have participated in the project.
