Analyst: The euro is struggling to recover amid weak economic growth prospects and political resistance
ChainCatcher news, Chris Turner, an analyst at ING, stated in a report that the euro is struggling to achieve a substantial recovery due to concerns over a weakening economic outlook for the Eurozone and unfavorable political factors.
The U.S. core inflation data released on Wednesday came in below expectations, providing a good opportunity for the euro to rise, as the two-year yield spread narrowed, but the increase was not significant. This may "represent a firm view that the Eurozone and the euro will perform poorly this year, due to weak growth in the region and weak leadership." (Jin Ten)
