This committee may provide guidance on digital asset policy and collaborate with Congress to draft crypto legislation. It also aims to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve, fulfilling Trump's campaign promise. Additionally, it will work with major government agencies, including the SEC, CFTC, and the Treasury, to enhance regulatory transparency and foster a favorable environment for cryptocurrencies.
Currently, while many potential committee members already have connections with Trump, suitable candidates are still being evaluated.
It is reported that Trump has appointed Bo Hines as the head of the newly formed crypto advisory committee, reporting directly to David Sacks.
