Vitalik: Ethereum core development should prioritize optimizing key upgrades such as "Blob expansion"
ChainCatcher news, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin stated on X that Ethereum core development needs to better prioritize. He pointed out that if he had to choose between "increasing Blob targets from 3 to 6" and "other improvements in Pectra," he would prioritize the former.
Vitalik also mentioned priority suggestions for projects like Fusaka and G*, believing that Blob expansion remains crucial, but also emphasized the importance of improvements to the L1 layer EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), particularly the transition from EOF to full AA through EIP-7701, as well as the introduction of the SIMD+EVMMAX instruction set and a moderate increase in Gas limits.
Vitalik also stated that "peerdas" exploration is underway and suggested trying a more ambitious version to further drive Ethereum's technological innovation and optimization.
