Trump asks the U.S. Supreme Court to block the ruling on his felony charges
ChainCatcher news, according to CCTV News, on January 8 local time, U.S. President-elect Trump filed a request with the U.S. Supreme Court to block the ruling on the 34 felony charges against him for falsifying business records in New York, scheduled for January 10.
Trump's emergency application requests the court to halt the prosecution until his appeal regarding presidential immunity is resolved. Trump's lawyer stated, "The Supreme Court should immediately suspend further proceedings in the New York trial court to prevent serious injustice and harm to the presidency and the functioning of the federal government."
