OpenAI CEO: The first AI agents may join the workforce in 2025

ChainCatcher news, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated in a recent blog post that the company is confident it has mastered the methods for building AGI (Artificial General Intelligence). He predicts that by 2025, we may see the first AI agents "join the workforce" and significantly change business output.

Altman reflected on the two-year journey of ChatGPT, noting that the product has grown from an initial 100 million weekly active users to over 300 million. He emphasized that OpenAI is shifting its focus towards the development of superintelligence, believing that this will significantly accelerate scientific discovery and innovation, leading to greater societal prosperity.

Regarding the "lightning layoffs" incident last November, Altman described it as "a major governance failure," but also stated that the experience has made him a more thoughtful leader. He particularly thanked Ron Conway and Brian Chesky for their support during the crisis, stating that without their help, OpenAI might have fallen apart.
