At 7:11 AM local time, the Korean Public Prosecution Service began to enter the presidential residence to execute the arrest warrant for Yoon Suk-yeol.
Previous news, on December 31, 2024, the Western District Court of Seoul, South Korea, issued an arrest warrant for suspended President Yoon Suk-yeol on charges of instigating a rebellion and abusing power. This is the first time in South Korea's constitutional history that an arrest warrant has been issued for a sitting president. The arrest warrant is valid until January 6.
