New Ideas for AI Agents (1)
In yesterday's article, I mainly referenced an idea from a reference article:
That is, NFT project teams can consider issuing their own AI agents.
In fact, there are already NFT projects that have such cases.
However, in this case, the AI agent was initiated not by the project team, but by a community enthusiast. mfer is an NFT that was quite popular on the internet. An enthusiast from this NFT community, @HeresMyEth, initiated an AI agent focused on mfer, @mferGPT.
However, this project currently does not have much impact, and I have not seen any major NFT project teams personally engage in this operation.
In fact, there is no need to limit such operations strictly to NFT projects, nor is it necessary to be confined to issuing AI agents; all activities related to AI agents can be operated, such as building a platform similar to Virtuals.
Over the weekend, I came across such a case.
Speaking of zkSync, its airdrop once left countless opportunists with painful memories. After the token airdrop, it seems I haven't heard any community discussions about this once highly anticipated Ethereum Layer 2 expansion, nor have I heard anyone discuss projects on this Layer 2 expansion.
But while I was casually browsing over the weekend, I suddenly discovered that a DEX on this Layer 2 expansion has now transformed to mimic the gameplay of Virtuals. This DEX is Holdstation (
https://holdstation.exchange/).
I had previously interacted with this DEX purely to take advantage of the airdrop. The only impression it left on me was that it supports Pay Master, allowing users to choose to use its token (Hold) to pay for gas fees. This made my experience much smoother.
Aside from that, I couldn't see any highlights of this DEX.
If I hadn't stumbled upon its news over the weekend, I wouldn't have remembered this DEX at all.
Now, in addition to continuing its DEX business, it has also transformed into an AI agent financing platform like Virtuals, and it seems to have received support from the ecosystem.
Its gameplay completely imitates Virtuals, allowing supported AI agents to issue tokens, and users must use its platform token Hold to purchase these AI agent tokens.
Currently, this DEX has already issued AI agents, but these agents do not have many highlights, and it seems not many people are aware of them. Only the project team is tirelessly promoting and advertising on Twitter.
Regardless of whether this new method works or not, the project team's swift actions have already indicated that they view this gameplay as a "lifeline."
This sign makes me more convinced that the gameplay of Virtuals will quickly expand to other ecosystems and be used by more struggling project teams to "revive" themselves.
If we further connect this gameplay with the countless Layer 2 expansions currently available, the imaginative space becomes even larger.
Doesn't Uniswap have its own Unichain?
Regarding the development direction of Unichain, there is a dedicated article on Messari analyzing whether it is a general-purpose chain or a DeFi-specific chain.
Now it seems there is no need to debate. If Uniswap also adopts the method of Virtuals, specifically fostering AI agents dedicated to DeFi (such as trading agents, payment agents, etc.) on Unichain, and uses its UNI token as a medium for exchanging these AI agent tokens, then it can develop its own DeFi AI agent ecosystem on its chain.
Moreover, this is a legitimate, regulatory-compliant, empowering method for tokens that is safe and effective.
Ape and Magic also have their own dedicated gaming (Layer 2 expansion) chains, ApeChain and Treasure, right?
They can also adopt the gameplay of Virtuals to foster gaming-related AI agents within their ecosystem and strongly empower their tokens. In this way, they can establish their own gaming AI agent ecosystem and support the price of their tokens.
If this idea can be implemented, I estimate that what will erupt next will not only be AI agents but also a simultaneous explosion of Layer 2 expansions and AI agents—any project with strong capabilities and a robust ecosystem will consider building its own Layer 2 expansion and then establishing its own AI agent ecosystem on that Layer 2 expansion.
The imaginative space will become very large.
