ChainCatcher news, CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju pointed out that Korean crypto whales are accumulating USDT on a large scale. The USDT/KRW trading pair on Upbit exchange has a premium of about 3% compared to the official exchange rate, with the USDT price reaching 1,559 won. This unofficial exchange rate level is close to the period of the 1998 IMF crisis, setting a new high in 26 years.
