Tether: As of early Q4, there are 109 million on-chain wallets holding USDT

ChainCatcher news, Tether's official announcement disclosed data that as of the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2024, there are 109 million on-chain wallets holding USDT, which is more than twice the number of wallets holding Bitcoin and close to the 128 million wallets holding Ethereum, making USDT one of the most widely held digital assets.

There are also 86 million accounts on centralized platforms that have received on-chain USDT deposits. In the first three quarters of 2024, exchanges received 4.5 billion network visits, with 46% of the traffic coming from emerging markets.

In summary, Tether estimates that among all 330 million on-chain users, at least one-third (109 million), and possibly half, still hold USDT.
