Mining company Greenidge Generation sells 152 acres of land for cash and future profit sharing

ChainCatcher news, mining company Greenidge Generation has sold its 152-acre land located in South Carolina.

Greenidge announced in a statement on Tuesday that it sold the property in Spartanburg to data center operator Data Journey for $12.1 million in cash, while Greenidge will hold an 8% stake in the future profits of the property after Data Journey develops it into an industrial facility.

Greenidge has committed to support Data Journey in developing the Spartanburg asset into its third data center, which has a power capacity of 60 megawatts (MW).
