Solana co-founder: "Very fortunate" to solve Solana's engineering issues through memecoin, making it more resilient
ChainCatcher news, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko stated that the rise of memecoins has put the Solana network to the test, making it more resilient and turning past disruptions into opportunities for innovation. He said, "Just like NFTs… we are fortunate to solve a bunch of engineering problems with memecoins, which will only make the network and all systems more robust."
As for the popularity of memecoins on Solana, Yakovenko mentioned that he was initially surprised, but in hindsight, it doesn't seem so surprising. He said, "In almost all digital economies, entertainment is the largest area for making money… when I started to think back, it was almost obvious."
