OpenAI hires former Coinbase CMO as Chief Marketing Officer

ChainCatcher news, according to CNBC, OpenAI has hired former Coinbase CMO Kate Rouch as its first Chief Marketing Officer.

Rouch joined Coinbase in August 2021, responsible for global marketing and public relations, and was in charge of the company's Super Bowl advertisements. Prior to that, she worked at Meta for over 11 years, where she served as the global brand and product marketing lead for Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Facebook. OpenAI's valuation has soared to $157 billion in the two years since the launch of ChatGPT, during which it raised approximately $13 billion from Microsoft. The company completed its latest round of $6.6 billion funding in October and also secured a $4 billion revolving credit facility.
