Coinbase CEO: About 25% of the company's balance sheet is cryptocurrency after deducting liabilities, half of which is Bitcoin
ChainCatcher news, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong posted on the X platform stating that approximately one-quarter of Coinbase's balance sheet is cryptocurrency after deducting liabilities, with half of that being Bitcoin, which is similar to its percentage in the total cryptocurrency market capitalization. Almost all of Coinbase's debt is still denominated in USD, so the key is how much risk to bear.
Brian Armstrong added that Coinbase is not a hedge fund and expressed his personal belief that the allocation of cryptocurrency in the balance sheet could reasonably be higher, but the key is how much to increase and what the reasons are.
