ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the major upgrade Avalanche9000 for the Avalanche mainnet has been launched on the testnet, which reduces the chain deployment cost by 99.9%. At the same time, a $40 million Retro9000 retroactive rewards program has been introduced to incentivize developers to build Layer 1 blockchains and related tools on the testnet.

This upgrade includes two important community proposals: ACP-77, which enhances the flexibility of Layer 1 validators, and ACP-125, which reduces the base fee by 96%.

According to data from The Block, the trading volume of AVAX reached $1.9 billion in the past 24 hours, with the coin price rising over 8%. Avalanche Foundation CEO Aytunç Yildizli stated that this upgrade will drive enterprises within the ecosystem to establish self-controlled Layer 1 blockchains.
