The head of the Federal Tax Service, Daniil Egorov, stated that these applications were all submitted after November 1. Registrants must provide the Federal Tax Service with the cryptocurrency assets they mine, cryptocurrency wallet addresses, and other data.

Private miners with a monthly electricity consumption of no more than 6,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) are exempt from registration.
