Litecoin: There is no association with projects using the name or likeness of Lester on Solana

ChainCatcher news, the Litecoin X account stated that it has been nearly a week since the Litecoin X account posted the meme "Due to current market conditions I now identify as a memecoin," which is a light-hearted mockery of the current state of the cryptocurrency market and also a self-deprecating acknowledgment.

Although Litecoin is one of the oldest and most reliable cryptocurrencies in the world, its achievements have been overshadowed and largely ignored in recent years. Greg (@greg16676935420) created a new mascot for Litecoin, but unfortunately, a group of people immediately took this mascot and used it to create a "lestercoin" on the Solana blockchain.

Litecoin stated that it has no association with projects using the name or likeness of Lester on Solana, nor has it intentionally promoted or acknowledged their intentions; it is not the official mascot of Litecoin. Furthermore, Litecoin will continue to uphold the principle that "Bitcoin is gold, Litecoin is silver," striving to be the preferred method for global payments and transactions of goods and services, and this has not changed.
