According to the budget estimates for fiscal year 2021, regulatory spending in 2020 was 22.8% higher than the level in 2010, with an average annual growth rate of 2.1% over the decade. From 2010 to 2020, staffing increased by 5.8%, with an average annual growth of 0.6%.
