ChainCatcher news, according to U.S. Newsweek, a legal analyst from CNN hinted that Vice President Harris may be nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court.

The report states that Bakari Sellers, a lawyer who served as a Democratic member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for eight years, suggested that 70-year-old liberal Justice Sonia Sotomayor could retire from the Supreme Court to allow President Biden to nominate Harris. Before being elected as a senator and then becoming vice president, Harris served as the district attorney for San Francisco and the Attorney General of California. While it is uncommon to nominate a lawyer without judicial experience to the Supreme Court, it is not unprecedented.

Bakari Sellers believes this move could be rushed before Donald Trump, who won the U.S. presidential election, takes office. He also stated, "I think this is actually a really good plan. I think it will happen."
