Institution: Trump will not lower inflation as voters wish

ChainCatcher news, deVere Group CEO Nigel Green stated in a report that part of the reason Trump won the election is the dissatisfaction of Americans with inflation, but he may not be able to cool prices as voters expect. Trump's promise to impose tariffs on imported goods could have the opposite effect, as importers may pass on the additional costs to consumers.

Green said, "While the goal is to protect American businesses, the reality is that these tariffs could exacerbate the inflationary pressures that Trump promised to alleviate."
