National Exit Poll: 44% of voters have a positive view of Trump, while Harris stands at 48%
ChainCatcher news, preliminary results from the Edison Research exit polls for the U.S. elections show that 71% of voters are white, an increase from 67% in the 2020 exit polls; 11% are Black, down from 13% in 2020; and 12% are Hispanic, down from 13% in 2020. 57% of voters do not have a college degree, compared to 59% in the 2020 exit polls. 45% of voters say their personal financial situation is worse than it was four years ago, while the proportion in the 2020 exit polls was 20%.
39% of voters believe that most undocumented immigrants should be deported, while 57% support allowing them to apply for legal status. 32% of voters think that U.S. support for Israel is too strong; 31% believe it is not strong enough; and 31% think it is moderate. 51% of voters say they trust Harris more on the issue of abortion, while 44% trust Trump.
51% of voters say they trust Trump more on economic issues, while 47% trust Harris. 73% of voters feel that democracy is under threat, while 25% believe democracy is safe.
44% of voters have a favorable view of Trump, compared to 46% in the 2020 exit polls. 48% of voters have a favorable view of Harris, while Biden had 52% in the 2020 polls. (Jinshi)
