Strategist: The dollar will rise if Trump wins, and fall if Harris wins
ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, Ebury stated that if Trump wins the U.S. presidential election, the dollar may rise; if Harris wins, the dollar may fall.
Ebury strategist Matthew Ryan said in the report that a Trump victory would boost the dollar, especially if the Republicans also control the Senate and the House of Representatives, as investors would consider factors such as U.S. tax cuts, Federal Reserve interest rate hikes, rising trade protectionism, and increasing geopolitical risks. In the case of a Harris victory, currency fluctuations would be more controlled. However, the dollar could still experience "quite severe selling."
