More than 25 states in the United States have started voting for the presidential election
ChainCatcher news, according to CNN, as of 7 AM Eastern Time, over 25 states have started presidential election voting, with the states that have just begun voting including:
- Alabama (some polling places follow Eastern Time and will open at 7 AM Eastern Time, but most polling places follow Central Time and will open at 8 AM Eastern Time).
- Delaware
- Washington D.C.
- Florida
- Georgia
- Illinois
- Kansas (due to time zone reasons, some polling places open at 8 AM)
- Maryland
- Massachusetts (cities or towns may choose to open as early as 5:45 AM Eastern Time)
- Michigan (due to time zone reasons, some polling places open at 8 AM Eastern Time)
- Missouri
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- South Carolina
- Tennessee (polling places with a population over 120,000 must open before 7 AM Eastern Time)
