ZetaChain has identified the cause of the network interruption and is working to restore normal network operations
ChainCatcher message, the ZetaChain status page updated at 12:23: "The cause has been identified, the network interruption was due to a consensus failure caused by a new update rolled out to a small number of validators.
We believe we have identified the root cause of the consensus failure and will provide a more detailed root cause update after reproducing the issue on the development network. The current top priority is to restore normal network operation. We have rolled back the managed validators to version v20.0.5 of the node software and have asked community members to do the same. Most members of the community have completed this action, and currently about 60% of participants are using the correct version of the software. A few validators are unable to participate in voting after attempting to run the version (v20.0.6) that caused the consensus interruption and are currently resynchronizing from a snapshot.
Once these remaining validators complete synchronization, we expect the network to resume operation. We will provide another update in 60 minutes and hope the network can return to normal before then."
Previous message, the ZetaChain mainnet has paused block production. As of now, the ZetaChain mainnet has been paused for 6 hours.
