ChainCatcher message, mempool.space data shows that Bitcoin network transaction fees have soared to over 400 satoshis/byte, with medium priority currently reported at 430 satoshis/byte and high priority at 610 satoshis/byte. The reason is that Ordinals founder Casey has deployed a new rune MEMENTO•MORI, which will start minting at block height 868186, with a total of 100 million runes, reserving 50%.
