ChainCatcher news, recently Tether issued a strong statement on its official website criticizing the irresponsible reporting of The Wall Street Journal: "The Wall Street Journal wrote an article with reckless accusations so definitively without any public confirmation from authorities or disclosing sources, which is extremely irresponsible; these stories are purely based on speculation. This report also carelessly obscured Tether's documented extensive cooperation with law enforcement to combat bad actors attempting to misuse Tether and other cryptocurrencies."
Previously, The Wall Street Journal reported that Tether might face penalties for doing business with organizations on the U.S. sanctions list.
