ChainCatcher news, Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has entered into a multi-year partnership with Reuters to integrate artificial intelligence chat features into its platforms.

According to Axios, citing informed sources, this collaboration will enable Meta's AI chatbot to extract Reuters news to answer users' questions about current events. Starting October 25, this feature will be rolled out to U.S. users on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger through Meta's AI assistant.

With this integration, Meta's AI can now directly link to Reuters news articles when answering relevant questions. The details of the deal have not been disclosed, including any licensing for training Meta's large language model (LLM), known as Llama.
