CNBC Poll: Harris Leads Trump by 20 Points Among Young Voters
ChainCatcher news, according to CNBC, the latest poll from CNBC Generation Lab shows that among young American voters aged 18 to 34, Vice President Kamala Harris leads Republican candidate Donald Trump by 20 percentage points.
The survey indicates that in a head-to-head matchup, 60% of respondents said they would vote for Harris, while 40% support Trump. This result is comparable to Biden's advantage among young voters in 2020. However, the survey also reflects a low enthusiasm among young voters; when asked "What are your thoughts on the presidential candidate list?", 38% of respondents felt "disappointed" with the presidential candidates, 41% expressed "neutral" feelings, and only 20% felt "excited."
On key issues, young Americans identified job creation and the economy (53%), taxes (39%), and trust in government (33%) as the three most important issues. Other concerns include immigration (27%), the environment (26%), and student debt (25%).
