MakerDAO founder: Initiate a community vote on core brand selection
ChainCatcher news, Rune Christensen, the founder of MakerDAO (now renamed Sky), announced on social media that he will draft an Atlas Edit proposal for a community vote on the project's core brand choice. This move aims to respond to community feedback and seek consensus on the future direction of the project. Christensen proposed three voting options:
- Continue with Sky as the core brand;
- Refocus the Maker brand with the original brand image;
- Refocus the Maker brand with an updated brand image.
Christensen emphasized that once the core brand direction is determined, the next step will be to consider whether adjustments to the token economic model are needed, as well as the subsequent development of the Sky brand and SKY token (if the vote decides to refocus on the Maker brand).
