Ripple CEO praises Brazil's cryptocurrency regulatory environment and plans to establish a local office as a hub for activities in Latin America
ChainCatcher news, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse praised Brazil's cryptocurrency regulatory environment, as Brazil is one of the largest crypto markets in Latin America.
In an interview with Valor Economico, Garlinghouse emphasized the work done by the Brazilian central bank to attract crypto companies to the country, "Brazil is one of the fastest-growing markets for the adoption of crypto assets and blockchain. The Brazilian central bank has been very constructive in its regulation, which has created opportunities." Additionally, he hinted at turning Ripple's office in São Paulo into the company's central hub for activities across Latin America to support tokenized value as an opportunity for organizations in the region.
He concluded, "I see opportunities to explore blockchain for the tokenization of physical assets. I say this in the U.S., Brazil, Europe, and around the world. This is an opportunity to attract new investments."
