ChainCatcher news, blockchain analysis company Chainalysis is facing a $650 million defamation lawsuit for allegedly mislabeling the YieldNodes project as a scam. The case is set for a hearing on October 16 in the New York Supreme Court.

The plaintiff, Exceptional Media, claims that Chainalysis's erroneous classification has caused serious damage to its reputation and client base, and was made with malice. Chainalysis has filed multiple motions to dismiss, arguing that the complaint fails to prove its analysis was incorrect and maintains that YieldNodes could indeed be an investment scam. Chainalysis declined to comment on the case.
