South Korean lawmakers plan to criticize AVAIL tokens during the parliamentary audit
ChainCatcher news, according to the Korea Economic Daily, South Korean lawmaker Min Byoung-dug plans to criticize the AVAIL token as a "hamburger coin" during a parliamentary audit. The term "hamburger coin" refers to foreign cryptocurrencies listed on South Korean exchanges. Min Byoung-dug has requested data on suspicious AVAIL transactions on the cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb and is investigating the surge in listings, potential price manipulation, and the effectiveness of customer protection measures at the exchange.
AVAIL is also implicated in overseas money laundering allegations, including accusations involving a user representative named "yieldfarming" who was banned from trading with foreign investors on Bithumb. In last year's audit, Min Byoung-dug also pointed out similar issues with cryptocurrencies and criticized the exchange for failing to adequately protect investors.
