ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, based on a new survey from the Francisco Gavidia University in El Salvador, only 7.5% of respondents reported using cryptocurrency for transactions, while 92% admitted they do not use cryptocurrency, and only 1.3% believe that Bitcoin is the main direction for the country's future development. About 58% of respondents stated that they think the country is heading in the right direction, and the vast majority support President Bukele.

The survey interviewed 1,224 Salvadorans aged 18 and over, covering various aspects from the economy to security. It is reported that El Salvador adopted Bitcoin as the country's legal tender in 2021.
