Standardization and security are the two major challenges facing the current intent framework.

This Thursday evening, ChainCatcher hosted an X Space themed "When will 'Intent' Explode?", inviting senior builders from the intent track to share their insights and perspectives.

Event Guests:

Adrian, Co-founder of Anoma

Gao, Co-founder of ApertureFinance

Isabella, Co-founder of DappOS

Connor, Co-founder of Enso Finance

Regarding the last question, "What is the biggest challenge facing the development of the intent track right now? When do you expect the intent track to truly experience a major explosion?" The guests shared their views as follows:

Mike (Anoma): Currently, one of the biggest challenges facing intent-based applications is that they represent a new conceptual design, different from the transaction-based framework that developers are accustomed to. Changing mindsets and feasible approaches around protocol design and scalability is no easy task.

Intent currently lacks standardization ------ Although 7638 may help a bit, they require you to build a robust solver network to provide the desired results. In short, the protocol ecosystem using intent is still evolving and not mature enough.

Developer's Alpha------ This means you are a pioneer, able to seize the first-mover advantage.

The deployment of networks like Anoma may drive the rapid development of intent-based applications. Anoma provides a universal architecture based on intent that enables standardization and allows applications to obtain a unified set of solvers for their tasks. This will make launching easier, allowing developers to focus on the product and leverage the Anoma network to handle the heavy lifting under the hood, thus speeding up scalability.

Gao (Aperture Finance): Standardization and security are the two major challenges currently facing the intent framework. For example, it is difficult to establish a universal protocol and standards for expressing and executing intents across different platforms. This will lead to significant user friction and differences in user experience, which is precisely what the intent framework aims to solve. Additionally, ensuring that the intent system can safely interpret and execute user goals without introducing new vulnerabilities is indeed very challenging.

The development opportunity lies in making the user interface more intuitive and user-friendly, lowering the entry barrier for non-technical users. Furthermore, the broader integration of intent protocols on major DeFi platforms generates network effects.

Isabella (DappOs): One of the biggest challenges facing intent-based applications is changing the perception of users and developers regarding interactions in the Web3 ecosystem. Transitioning from traditional transaction-based designs to an intent-centric framework requires a shift in mindset, which is difficult for both developers and users. Additionally, there is a need to establish standardized methods and a robust network of service providers to ensure reliable results for users. Currently, the ecosystem around intent is still maturing, but this also presents opportunities.

As for the triggers for rapid growth, when we see scalable and interoperable intent execution networks (like the one we are building at DappOS) providing seamless, user-friendly solutions that directly address these challenges, widespread adoption will follow. DappOS is focusing on intent-based infrastructure to make blockchain interactions easier for everyone, helping to lead this transition.
