Data: fwDETH phishing actor exchanged 14,000 DETH for 2,288 ETH, causing a severe decoupling of DETH/WETH
According to ChainCatcher news, monitored by on-chain analyst Yu Jin, an address suspected to belong to Continue Capital was marked by Arkham and lost 15,079 fwDETH (worth $35.98 million) due to phishing 7 hours ago.
Subsequently, the phishing perpetrator quickly converted the stolen assets into safe assets by swapping DETH back to ETH. However, due to insufficient liquidity in the DETH pool, only 2,288 ETH was received in exchange for 14,079 DETH. The pool was completely drained, leading to a significant decoupling of DETH/WETH.
The value of the stolen assets directly shrank by 85%: from $35.98 million to $5.5 million.
