Uniswap Labs announces the launch of Unichain
ChainCatcher news, according to official sources, Uniswap Labs has announced the launch of Unichain. Uniswap Labs stated that after years of building and expanding DeFi products, they have identified areas for improvement in DeFi and the conditions necessary to continue advancing the Ethereum scaling roadmap. Unichain aims to be a fast, decentralized Optimism superchain L2, serving as a chain for cross-chain DeFi and liquidity.
Unichain will integrate Flashbot's Rollup Boost solution, achieving a block time of 1 second. The Unichain testnet is live today, with the mainnet set to launch later this year. The Uniswap Foundation will provide funding and project support to assist developers in building on Unichain.
