OpenAI requests to dismiss Musk's lawsuit against the company and its founder Sam Altman
ChainCatcher news, OpenAI on Tuesday requested the dismissal of Musk's federal lawsuit against the company. Two months ago, Musk filed a lawsuit accusing OpenAI of abandoning its founding mission to develop an open artificial intelligence platform to "benefit humanity" in favor of profit maximization. In a motion to dismiss filed in California federal court, OpenAI stated that Musk's lawsuit is the latest move in a "continuing campaign to harass OpenAI for his own competitive advantage."
OpenAI's documents point out that Musk subsequently launched his own AI startup, xAI, and claimed he is "trying to leverage the judicial system" to gain a competitive edge in the field. Musk has not yet commented on the document.
