Ubisoft announces NFT Mint plan for Web3 game "Captain Laserhawk"

ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, gaming giant Ubisoft will launch 10,000 NFTs on Arbitrum through Magic Eden in the coming weeks. These NFTs will allow holders to get an early experience of the upcoming shooting game "Captain Laserhawk: The GAME."

It is reported that the game is set in a dystopian world, inspired by the Netflix series "Captain Laserhawk: Blood Dragon Remix" (which itself is inspired by Ubisoft's "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon"). This multiplayer competitive game is expected to include iconic characters from "Assassin's Creed." Ubisoft Web3 executive producer Didier Genevois stated in a press release, "By integrating Web3, we enable our community not only to play games but also to shape the future of gaming."

ChainCatcher previously reported, according to Venturebeat, that the Arbitrum Foundation and Sequence are collaborating with Ubisoft Labs to develop the Web3 game "Captain Laserhawk: the G.A.M.E." The game is planned to be built on Arbitrum, while Sequence will provide essential blockchain tools to enhance the scalability and speed needed for the growing and active community.
