Christie's will provide blockchain ownership certificates for photography collections
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Christie's will provide blockchain-based digital ownership certificates for each lot at the auction "Focus on the Real: The Photographs from the Collection of Ambassador Trevor Traina," held at Rockefeller Center in New York.
It is reported that this auction involves 130 works, and the ownership certificates will be minted on Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain developed by Kresus on Coinbase. Christie's ventured into blockchain technology as early as 2021 when it auctioned Beeple's "Everydays" series for a price of $69 million.
