Data: $257 million transfer occurred in dormant Bitcoin wallets in September
According to ChainCatcher, as reported by Bitcoin.com, during September, dormant Bitcoin wallets that had been inactive for years transferred a total of 4,066.81 BTC, worth approximately $257 million.
This includes 250 BTC from 2009, marking the first transfer in nearly 16 years. This month, wallets created in 2016 dominated the activity, transferring 1,883.46 BTC, followed closely by wallets from 2013, which transferred 722.87 BTC. Additionally, wallets created in 2017, 2014, and 2015 also transferred significant amounts of Bitcoin.
