PancakeSwap head Chef Kids stated, "With PancakeSwap v4, we aim to address the major flaws of existing automated market makers, including inflexible pricing models, limited trading functionalities compared to centralized exchanges, impermanent loss for liquidity providers, and high on-chain gas fees."
