ChainCatcher news, Aave community member LlamaRisk has initiated a proposal to temporarily reduce the risk of WBTC. The specific proposal includes:
- Reducing the WBTC LTV on all V3 instances (Ethereum, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Harmony, Optimism, and Polygon) to 0, preventing additional borrowing against WBTC collateral without affecting the positions of existing users.
- Lowering the supply and borrowing limits to a level 5-10% higher than the current utilization rate, limiting additional risk of WBTC while allowing users to flexibly adjust their positions.
It is reported that LlamaRisk's proposal has not actually received support from the community, including Aave's founders.
