ChainCatcher news, the Web3 security company GoPlus has released a security alert revealing a new type of scam targeting Telegram users. Scammers impersonate the official Fragment mini-program and send high-price acquisition proposals to holders of anonymous accounts via private messages. Once users click on the mini-program link provided by the scammers, they may unknowingly authorize their accounts, leading to the theft of wallet assets.

GoPlus points out that due to the counterfeit bot being almost identical to the official mini-program in name and avatar, users find it difficult to distinguish between the real and the fake. Security experts recommend that users cross-verify through official websites, official Twitter accounts, or trusted third parties like DefiLlama and RootData.
