ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, former Celsius CEO Alex Mashinsky has requested to subpoena six witnesses who previously worked at the crypto company to testify on his behalf, as he may face over 100 years in prison.

Mashinsky was arrested last year, and prosecutors accused him of deceiving customers and misleading about Celsius's profitability. In a memorandum submitted by his lawyer last Friday, he requested the New York District Court to allow these witnesses to testify in his criminal trial, including the chief financial officer and chief revenue officer of the crypto lending platform. The lawyer stated that many of the witnesses he intends to subpoena reside outside the United States.

Mashinsky's lawyer claimed in the memorandum that he had no intention of harming anyone.
