Ambrus Studio has completed a multimillion-dollar financing led by The Spartan Group and will launch its first Telegram game
Ambrus Studio recently completed a multi-million dollar Series A funding round, led by Spartan Group, with top investment institutions such as IVC, SUI Foundation, Knight Capital, Goodwater Capital, and ZeePrime Capital participating. The first Telegram game, E4C: Demon Hunter, will launch on September 16. It is reported that Ambrus Studio will launch a web3 game incubation platform, E4C, and will focus on developing and incubating high-quality games based on blockchain technology, while meeting the needs of both web2 and web3 gamers through a long-term stable development strategy. As the first Telegram mini-app game launched by E4C, Demon Hunter holds significant strategic importance for the long-term development of Ambrus Studio.
About Ambrus Studio
Ambrus Studio was founded in December 2021 by former Riot Games Asia Pacific CEO Johnson Yeh, aiming to create a gaming ecosystem that provides a better gaming experience for Web2 players, thereby making web3 technology mainstream in the gaming industry. Johnson Yeh stated, "Even three years ago when we established the studio, we did not believe in a purely 'play-to-earn' model. We have always focused on how to leverage blockchain technology and Web3 elements to enhance player experience and solve problems in the gaming industry. We decided to make free games profitable for studios in emerging markets through Web3 technology. We hope to be the first studio focused on providing engaging gaming experiences for underserved markets such as South Asia, the emerging Middle East, and Africa."
Most members of Ambrus Studio's team have experience from major gaming companies such as Riot Games, Tencent, and miHoYo, and have already partnered with several well-known gaming platforms like Nazara, TapTap, and Rockville Games. In the web3 field, Ambrus Studio is deeply integrated with the recently popular Sui ecosystem. To learn more, please visit ambrus.studio.
E4C: Demon Hunter
Demon Hunter is an overhead action shooting game developed by Ambrus Studio, featuring the protagonist, the mercenary Sehk. Sehk uses her crossbow to hunt various demons and monsters. The game is easy to control; stopping movement will trigger automatic attacks. The main skill in the game is to dodge incoming barrages and enemies while attacking during movement gaps. Players can also invite friends to watch ads for extra rewards. The growth of players in the game will ultimately convert into a "combat power" value, which will be related to future E4C airdrops.
Demon Hunter differs from the currently popular Tap-To-Earn games on Telegram; it has high gameplay quality and much deeper mechanics. Players need to use skills to progress through levels to achieve higher combat power, which tests their skills, allowing more skilled players to grow faster in the game. Additionally, Demon Hunter is expected to introduce a player-versus-player mode to enrich the gaming experience.
There will be two types of assets in the game: Gold coins and Bits. Players can obtain Bits by inviting friends, watching ads, etc., making it easier to pass game levels and earn in-game rewards, including materials for upgrading weapons and Gold coins. Gold coins can help players synthesize items or purchase runes to enhance combat power.
E4C platform
E4C is not just a game distribution platform; Ambrus Studio aims to build E4C into a comprehensive gaming platform that includes game incubation, game distribution, gaming communities, and game task centers. Ambrus Studio will announce more exciting news about the E4C Platform in the near future.
